Maintenance Technician
Location: Franklin, WI.
Pay Range: $21.00–$38.00 per hour
Position Overview
Seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain our community and provide exceptional service to our residents. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance, including:
- Light bulb and air filter replacements
- Painting and drywall repairs
- Lock repair and maintenance
- Pool maintenance (where applicable)
- Assist with snow removal operations, including early morning response by 6:00 a.m.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
- Ensure common areas, grounds, and community facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with residents, team members, and vendors.
Qualifications
Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Experience using common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Trade school education or related certifications are a plus.
- Previous apartment maintenance or related experience preferred.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Current automobile insurance.
- Ownership of basic maintenance tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
